Hi, I have been asked to explain the Derby Opt Out rule a bit more........why we want you to use it. So a bit of background on how the race match ups work....
In the new version of Hayday, we now have different Leagues. Within each league there would be thousands of neighbourhoods that have to be matched up into races of about 20. There are 2 key criteria used to match FAFF against other neighbourhoods for the derby race:
- the number of derby players
- previous results
In the old version of Hayday, the number of derby players used to be simply the number of total members in the neighbourhood, but now it's the number of members who are Opted IN for the next derby. If you do nothing, you are automatically opted in. To Opt OUT, you have to remove the tick in advanced settings. More on how to do it here.
For example, if we have 14 members of FAFF, but 2 have Opted OUT of the next derby, we will be matched against other neighbourhoods with 12 players. And have a better chance to win a trophy!!!!
So, this is now also a very fair way for the derby prizes to be given........they only go to the members who played in that derby.
So the FAFF rule now is simple.......either you Opt OUT of derby, or you complete 5 tasks of minimum 250 points each.
Questions????? Please ask below in the comments.
